Sikkim (Pemayangste & Yuksom) Tour |

The combination tour offers the encounter
with the rich culture and ancient artifacts
of Nepal and Pemayangste monastery and
Yuksom in West Sikkim in addition to Darjeeling
and Gangtok. Pemayangste, “The Sublime
Perfect Lotus”, is the head of all
other monasteries of the Nyingma-pa sect
of Tibetan Buddhism. A majority of the
Sikkimese Buddhists belong to this sect.
It is great not only in its antiquity
but also in sanctity. The walls and ceilings
bear brilliantly hued frescoes of gods
and demons. It also houses the intricately
carved woodwork, “Zangdok Parli”
portraying the Mahaguru’s heavenly
palace. You will also see one of the most
breathtaking views of the mountains right
from your hotel rooms. Yuksom is the first
capital of Sikkim, where the first Chogyal
was consecrated in 1642.

Meet upon arrival at Kathmandu
airport by our staff's, Kathmandu
representative and transfer
to the Hotel.
After getting refreshed, and
having lunch, proceed for walking
tour to Kathmandu durbar square
visiting, ancient palace, living
goddess temple Kumari temple,
hanuman Dhoka and Kastamandap
temple. Overnight stay at a

Proceed
on sight seeing tour to Swoyambhunath
stupa also known as monkey temple,
Patan city known as city of
fine arts, Pashupatinath temple
the holiest shrine of the Hindu
people and Boudhnath stupa.

03: |
Transfer
to the domestic airport in the
morning to connect the flight
to Bhadrapur. Receive upon arrival
at Bhadrapur airport by the
representative of our Darjeeling
agent and drive to Darjeeling
after completion of immigration
formalities at the border (145km:
5 to 6 hrs). Overnight at Hotel
Elgin in Darjeeling.(B,L,D) |

Whole-day
sightseeing in Darjeeling (2134m)
AM –Tibetan Refugee Self
Help Center, Himalayan Mountaineering
Institute/Zoo and Happy Valley
Tea Garden.
PM – Toy Train ride to
Ghoom (8km/1hr), Railway Museum,
Ghoom Monastery and Local Market.

Early morning
trip to Tiger Hill to view the
sunrise over the mountains.
After breakfast drive to Pemayangste
Monastery in Sikkim ( 2085m;
118Kms; 7hrs). Visit Pemayangstye
Monastery and Rabdanste (the
2nd capital of Sikkim) Palace
Ruins.
Overnight at Norbu Gang Resort.

Before breakfast
walk to Sanga Choeling Monastery
(1 hr walk). After breakfast
drive to Yuksom (the 01st capital
of Sikkim) with visit to Kecheopalri
Lake. The distance between Pemayangste
and Yuksom is 42km. Kecheopalri
Lake or the “wishing Lake”,
considered to be the holiest
in Sikkim, is 11 km off the
road between Pemayangste and
Yuksom. It will take about 4
hours to drive from Pemayangste
to Yuksom including a visit
to the Lake. After lunch at
hotel in Yuksom, visit Dubdi
Monastery, the oldest in Sikkim
and Norbu Gang, where the first
Chogyal (Religious King) of
Sikkim was consecrated in 1642.Overnight

Drive to
Gangtok via Tashiding and Rabong
la (1600m; 125Kms; 6 to 7 hr).
Visit Tashiding monastery which
has the holiest Chorten (Stupa)
in Sikkim. Tashiding is 21 km
away from Yuksom. The monastery
is situated on a hill atop the
village. It takes about 45 minutes
to walk up to the monastery.
Vehicles cannot drive up to
the monastery.

Whole day
sightseeing in Gangtok. AM:
Ganesh Tok View Point, Enchay
Monastery, Handicrafts Centre
and Flower Show (if available).
PM: Institute of Tibetology
and Rumtek Monastery (24km from
Gangtok/ 1hr drive each way).
Overnight at Hotel Netuk House

09: |
AM: drive
to Bhaktapur also known as city
of devotees for sight seeing
tour. Have lunch in the restaurant
in Bhaktapur and later drive
back to Kathmandu.
PM: Free for last moment’s
shopping.
Farewell dinner in the evening.

departure and later transfer
to the International airport
to connect the home bound flight.
